Harriet Dinnis and Ardeo Castleconnor, a 2013 Sligo Candy Boy gelding out of a Cavalier Royale dam, have had a great start to the season with a 4th in the Eventing Ireland EI110 (National 1 star class) at Blackstairs followed by a win at Hillcrest EI115 (National 3 star class) on a 27 dressage with a double clear. Punchestown
We had a great end to the season at Eventing Ireland’s Punchestown on the 9th of October. The beautiful 6 year old Numero Uno mare, Ardeo Gold, led from the front at her first EI100 and jumped a beautiful double clear with Neil Wrynn. Ardeo Castleconnor and Hattie Dinnis contested in their first EI115 which went so well for them, just less than a point behind the dressage leader, riding a super test. Hattie’s mum, Julie Dinnis, flew in from Sevenoaks in Kent, to drive the lorry!

Eventing Ireland Update
Ardeo Upload placed 4th at Lisgarvan in the EI90, as his first event. Ardeo Rocketman placed 3rd with Eva Melly at Frankfort Stud in the EI100. Thank you Eva for doing such a great job at such short notice, while we await to hear the government guidelines as to whether they will allow Tiggy Hancock, Spice’s pony rider, and all under 18s to compete at shows again. Ardeo Upload upgraded to the EI100 at Frankfurt Stud with Hattie and had a great first run at this level.
