It’s been a really fun winter with a lot happening at Ardeo Sport Horse. Lots of horses have been coming through with sales both at home, Great Britain, the US and mainland Europe with our most recent graduate going to Switzerland.
- We have been having fun using the all weather cross complex and our new portable fences thanks to William Micklem’s great design and Tony Mcmenamon cross country building.
- Some of our liveries and coaching students enjoyed a visits from Sheila White of Erreplus saddlery. We spent the day saddle testing and it was fascinating for the group to recognize the impact of various saddles on the way of going of their horses.
- The spring season is bringing coaching days with the ‘Equissage XC Clinics’ to Ardeo Sport Horses with Melanie Wrynn on the 19th, 21st and 22nd February. Julia Harley of KBS Equine Ireland is bringing Immu-Ocean supplements and Equissage to demonstrate.
- We are also continuing the tree planting with a number of corporate days planned to further develop the natural shelter belts for the horses. We hope to plant six thousand trees this month!
